This amazing video was put together by Youtuber @hannsipma
Shot with a Braun Nizo Super 8 camera mounted on a bicycle. The camera had an intervalometer so it automatically shot a frame of film every so many seconds. I redid the ride in 2011 and photographed stills at key points in the film to show then and now. The Vancouver radio is from the early 70’s.
It’s really neat to see the transformation our city has taken over the years. From a cyclist’s perspective, I find it crazy that there never used to be a protective barrier between traffic and the sidewalk on the Ironworkers Memorial bridge, or on part of the Lions Gate. Hat tip to @604homesguy on the find!
