Jug Island Beach Trail sits within Belcarra Regional Park, at the mouth of the Indian Arm. The Jug Island Trail extends out across the Belcarra Peninsula to a small beach, which provides an up close and personal view of the nearby Jug Island.

Mount Elsay is located north of North Vancouver, within Mount Seymour Provincial Park. Sitting at an elevation of 1,419 m, it is named after the nearby Elsay Lake. It can be seen to the north from the summit of Mount Seymour, sitting in the divide between the Seymour River and Indian Arm. It is a challenging hike, and rewards with fantastic scenery and the feeling of a full day’s adventure.

Hiking Mount Fromme in North Vancouver
Mount Fromme sits just east of Grouse Mountain and is home to a large number of mountain biking and hiking trails. At an elevation of 1,185 m, the view from the summit of Mount Fromme is rewarding, but is by no means the best around. Mount Fromme offers views of Lynn Ridge, Coliseum Mountain, Mount Burwell, and Mount Seymour.
Swan Falls Loop Hike at Buntzen Lake
Swan Falls is a hike near Buntzen Lake in Anmore, which takes you along Eagle Ridge, past a waterfall (Swan Falls), tarns, lakes, and over an amazing summit (Mount Beautiful). It’s a fantastic, lesser-travelled alternative to the Diez Vistas route for those wanting a challenging hike with lots of elevation gain, and some spectacular views.
South Needle Hike in North Vancouver
South Needle is a very challenging hike in Lynn Headwaters Regional Park, which flies under the radar compared to a lot of the other nearby hikes like Norvan Falls and Coliseum Mountain. The hike takes you up to the popular Lynn Peak lookout, but then pushes further along Lynn Ridge and beyond Lynn Peak itself to a spectacular view at an elevation of 1,160 m at the summit of South Needle.
