The Helinox Chair One is one of the lightest and most portable chairs out there, making it a great companion for camping trips and anywhere on-the-go.
For its small size, it’s incredibly comfortable and sets up in a minute.
We’ve been taking the Chair One with us on all our front country camping trips, and also to use at our trade show booths. Beyond camping, it’s also a great option for paddlers and cyclists.
We’ve enjoyed the Chair One for its convenience and small footprint.
However, the Chair One is still probably just too large to bring backcountry camping. While the total footprint of the Chair One in its folded state is quite small, it’s still probably too big to find room in your backcountry pack to carry along.
That said, at roughly the size and weight of a wine bottle, it is light enough to transport long distances and is much more comfortable than other, smaller competing chairs.
What allows the small footprint of the Chair One is the lightweight aluminum poles and tent-like assembly.
