Just a quick note on the 2010 Fall Speaker Series, from the Vancouver International Film Festival website:
We have finally confirmed the program for the VIMFF 2010 Fall Speaker Series. This promises to be a mini-festival with eclectic guest speakers and films, from rock climbing and mountaineering, through cycling and global adventures.
On Tuesday, November 23, Stu Coleman will present two of his great cycling trips in the Pacific North West – Washington and Oregon. The Reel Rock Tour selection of latest climbing flicks will be on Wednesday, November 24 – from death-defying speed link-ups of the wildest faces in The Alps, to Olympian displays of strength and tenacity on the hardest boulders ever climbed, featuring the likes of Chris Sharma, Dean Potter, Peter Croft, Lisa Rands, Ueli Steck and others. Colin Angus will complete the series on Thursday, November 25, with his Adventures Around the World, an overview of Colin’s past adventures, focused on his trips to the Amazon, his circumnavigation of the Earth, the rowed trip from Scotland to Syria, and screening of his film Yenisey, River of the Extremes. Go to the “2010 Fall Speaker Series” page for full details.
